To Do - Join ToastmastersPresentation and leadership skills are crucial to success in today's workplace. Give yourself an edge over the competition. The Toastmasters program provides members with a proven, industry-recognized curriculum that not only develops communication and leadership skills, it does so in a practical and economical fashion.

You work through the program at your own pace, so there is an ease of learning and an atmosphere of enjoyment that is missing from most time-bound courses. You learn by doing. As members receive weekly practice in speaking and leading over an extended period, skills become ingrained - "second nature", rather than the "cramming and forgetting" that is common with many other learning options. The most common comment from our guests? "I never expected it to be so much fun!"

Click on "Find a Club" to choose one of our 33 clubs to visit. There is bound to be one that suits your schedule. Come for a visit and find out how much fun it can be to learn to impress employers or customers!

The International Speech Competition was a resounding success.  All six contestants warmed our hearts, educated and inspired us!

But without further adieu  . . . the winners of the International Speech Competition are . . .

1. Larry Healy
2. Ben Morton
3. Ankur Tayal

The contestants from all six areas also did an outstanding job of demonstrating the fine art of speech Evaluation.

And the winners are  . . .

1. Ev Woodward
2. Saira Waters
3. Mark Roch

Thanks again to all of our contestants! You are all winners!

A big "thank you" also goes out to everyone who helped, supported the contestants, and participated in both competitions.  More than 80 attended, including Margaret Page, Lieutenant Governor of Education and Training, who travelled from the Sunshine Coast to support us.  It was an inspiring, fun and worthwhile evening!

And it’s not over yet!  Next, the winners of the Division contests will continue to represent us at the District 21 contests in HOT! HOT! HOT! Harrison Hot Springs!  The contests will be held at the Spring Conference on May 12th and 13th.  If you have ever considered attending a Toastmasters conference, this could be YOUR time!  Check it out for yourself on the conference website at:  http://www.d21springconference.org.  I can assure you that the value of this event will be unsurpassed!  I’ll see you there!
